04/01/05 - We Will Listen To Labour's 'Forgotten Majority'

"FORGOTTEN MAJORITY" WILL PUNISH LABOUR IN MAY

Councillor Justin Tomlinson, North Swindon's Conservative Parliamentary Candidate has welcomed Michael Howard's commitment to fight for the forgotten majority.

Defining the forgotten majority as those,

"People who work hard. They save to buy their first home. They put money aside for their retirement. They take responsibility for their families. They deserve to be rewarded. But for the last seven and a half years their only reward has been to pay higher taxes"

Justinsaid: "Many people inSwindon fit the categorythat Michael Howard talks about and they do feel let down by Labour. Tony Blair has raised taxes an incredible 66 times despite saying he had no plans to increase taxes."

"The Conservatives are listening to the forgotten majority - even if Labour isn't. At the coming General Election,I urge all of them to use their vote to send a message to Labour - it's lies and spin, failed policies and it's mean-spirited, nasty, negative campaign."
